As a precision machine shop, Cision has grown and evolved over the years. In our early years, we were toolmakers who focused on prototypes, tools, and fixtures in support of larger manufacturing facilities and OEMs. Since then, we’ve grown into a full-scale production machining company that works with our customers during the prototyping stage and then straight into production.

Our customers will tell you the one thing we bring to the table is the ability to tackle the most demanding jobs. Within the precision machined components category, we work with our customers through every stage of their project, from concept to completion. As the only shop of our kind in Southwest Michigan that has robotic work cells, we’re able to produce parts on a truly “lights out” basis. Our high level of automation ensures timely delivery without arduous overhead and, even better, it offers a high degree of process capability, which speaks to our ability to repeat our processes over and over with consistent, high-quality results.

Quality Management

At Cision, our quality system drives everything. Utilizing protocols developed as a part of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), we walk through each phase of the production process and develop control plans to ensure that we have all the measures in place at each step to produce quality products that meet our customers’ requirements. This system is integrated into our shop management software, allowing us real-time visualization of our core metrics and providing us with a bulletproof method of ensuring that our quality system is constantly evolving.
